My “Highways Rangers” requests

Just prior to the borough council elections, you were told of the Highways Rangers.  We were promised a small team of workers who would, ward by ward, give speedy and efficient attention to minor works such as weeds, painting of furniture, cutting back vegetation, minor pavement repairs, cleaning of street name signs etc. I visited every road in my ward to ensure that I was able to request everything I could see that needed doing.

These are the requests that I made to the Highways Panel for the Highways Rangers scheme.

Only ELEVEN have made it on to their schedule, the rest have fallen into the council’s normal works list. Doesn’t this sound like an empty election promise to you?
